Failed books, refunds and free repairs

What we give back when a book fails, what we simply fix for free, and when to ask us.

Bijgewerkt op 29 sep 20262 min lezen

When something goes wrong, we look after the cost in one of two ways: we return the coins, or we repair the book for free.

When coins come back

If a whole book fails — the story cannot be finished at all — the coins are returned to your balance automatically. You will see a Coins refunded row in your coin history.

When we repair it for free

If the book finishes but a few pictures could not be painted, you keep the book and the missing pages are repaired at no charge. A repair is never taken from your balance. Re-drawing a page that was painted but that you would like changed is different: that costs 1 coin.

What is not refunded

  • A plan payment that has already been taken. Cancelling stops the next one but does not refund the period you already paid for.
  • Narration you ordered and received.
  • A book you simply did not like. Try changing the art style or the mood and making it again — and message us if it was far from what you asked for.

Loop het na

Begin bovenaan — de controles staan op volgorde van wat het vaakst de oorzaak is.

  1. The whole book failed

The coins for it are returned to your balance automatically, and a “Coins refunded” row appears in your history. If you do not see one after a few minutes, message us with the story’s title.

    Open your wallet
  2. The book finished but some pictures are missing

This is not refunded, because the book was made. It is repaired for free instead. Open the book and use the repair button on the missing pages. Nothing is charged for it.

    Open your library
  3. You left the story at the review step

You keep the words, and the coins for the pictures go back into your wallet. That happens the moment you choose Leave this one.

  4. A child profile paid for the book

The refund goes back to whoever paid — so it returns to the child’s own coins, not the parent’s balance.
