How a student signs in
- On any device, open the sign-in page.
- Choose I have an access code.
- Type the student’s personal 6-character access code.
The student gets their own limited account. It has no email and no password. It is always in kid mode. It works on any device, so you do not need to sign in as yourself first.
After the student signs in, they see “You’re in” followed by your class name and your name, so they know they are in the right place.
See who is online
Open your class to see the roster. It lists every student with a dot that says Online or Offline, and a “last seen” time.
- Online means the student’s page was open and active in the last 90 seconds.
- The roster refreshes about every 15 seconds.
- A student who signs out shows as Offline at once.
What a student can and cannot do
A student can read, make books and order narration, paid from the class coin pool. A student cannot open Wallet, Settings, Community, Pricing or Gift. Print pages are closed to them. A student cannot buy anything.
Ve comprobando
Empieza por arriba: las comprobaciones están ordenadas por la causa más habitual.
A student says the code is wrong
Check the code on the printed card against the class page. Codes never use the letters O or I, or the digits 0 or 1, so a student who typed one of those has mistyped. If one place makes 10 wrong tries, sign-in is locked for 15 minutes. Wait, then try again with the right code.
Go to sign inA student shows as Offline but says they are reading
A student shows as Online only while their page is open and active. If the tab is closed or hidden, or the device has lost its network, the dot turns to Offline. Ask the student to bring the page to the front. The roster updates about every 15 seconds.
A student cannot make a book
The class coin pool may be empty, or the student may have used their coins for the day. In both cases the student sees a message to ask you. Check the pool on the class page.
