How we keep stories safe
What we check in the words and the pictures, what happens when something is refused, and how to report a problem.

Stories are written for the reading level you choose, and checked before you see them. Here is what that means in practice.
The words
Each story is written for the age band you pick. Before it is shown, the text is also checked for age fit. If it fails, it is written again, and you see only the version that passes.
The pictures
If a picture cannot be made for a page, we try again in a gentler way. If it still cannot be made, the page is marked and the rest of the book is finished. You can then repair that page for free. It is not a failed book, and it is not refunded, because you keep the book.
Photos
Photos you add for a Real Memory book are kept private to your account and are used only to make your book. You can delete a book, and its photos, at any time.
Reporting
On a public story that belongs to someone else, the Report button lets you tell us if it does not belong there. If something in your own book is wrong, message us. See “Report a safety problem”.
