Order a printed book
A real softcover or hardcover of your story, posted to your door. What to expect at each step.
Updated Sep 29, 20262 min read
A printed book has a cover, a spine and every page of your story, on quality paper. Both formats are 8.5 inches square.
- Softcover — a paperback. It needs a book of at least 32 pages.
- Hardcover — a hardback with a wrapped cover. It needs at least 24 pages.
How to order
- Open a finished book and choose Print & Export, then the option to order a printed book. Or open the print page for the book directly.
- Preview — look through every page as it will be printed, choose Softcover or Hardcover, and add an optional personal note. The note gets its own page at the front. Sign it on the last line.
- Address — tell us where to send it. If we do not deliver to a country yet, this step says so.
- Delivery — choose how fast you want it. The price of each speed is shown.
- Pay — the total is shown. It is exactly what you pay, and it includes VAT where VAT applies.
After you pay
- Follow the order on the Printed books page: its status, and a tracking link once it has shipped.
- We email you when it goes to the printer and again when it ships.
- A printed book cannot be returned. If it arrives damaged or misprinted, message us and we will send a replacement.
A free book with the yearly plan
Each paid year of the yearly plan (or a redeemed gift) includes one free softcover. It unlocks in month 10 of the year. The book itself is free; you still pay for shipping. The free book is counted when you complete the payment, not when you start the order.
