What LoloTales makes

A personalised children’s picture book — written and illustrated, with narration when you want it — where your child is the hero.

Updated Sep 29, 20261 min read

LoloTales turns a few choices into a finished picture book: a story written for your child, and a painted illustration on every page. You can add a narrated reading to any finished book.

A finished book open in the LoloTales reader: an illustration on the left, the story text on the right, and page controls underneath.
A finished book in the reader. Every page has its own illustration.

What you get

  • A story written around the child, the people and pets you add, and the world you choose.
  • One illustration per page. The hero looks the same, and the art style stays the same, from the first page to the last.
  • Narration on request. You order it from the reader when you want it, and it is priced separately.
  • A print-ready PDF, and — where printing is switched on — a printed paperback or hardback.
  • A library that keeps every book, so a favourite is always one tap away.

How a book is made

  1. You answer a few short questions in the story wizard: how the story starts, where it happens, which reading level, which art style, who is in it.
  2. Lolo writes the words first and shows them to you. Read them, change anything you like, then choose Looks good — illustrate it.
  3. Every page is painted. This usually takes a few minutes, and you can leave the page while it happens.
  4. The finished book appears in your library.
