One parent account, a reader profile for each child, and how to keep a child inside their own part of the app.

You have one account, and the whole family shares it. Each child gets a reader profile inside it, so their books, their favourites and their coins are their own.
Add a reader
- Open the menu in the top right corner and choose Manage Reader Profiles.
- Choose Add a reader and give the child’s name.
- To lock the profile, open Edit on that reader and set the 4-Digit PIN Lock. It is then needed to switch away from that child’s profile.
Switch between readers
Choose Switch Reader from the same menu, then pick the child. Picking a child’s profile turns on Kid Mode for the device: a simpler screen with the grown-up areas closed.
Kid Mode has two forms
- A child’s reader profile. This is the real lock. Grown-up pages are closed, purchases need a grown-up, and going back to the parent needs the PIN if you set one.
- The Kid mode switch in Settings. This makes the screen simpler for a child. Use a reader profile with a PIN when you want a real lock.
