Choosing an art style

How to pick the look of your pictures, and why the choice never changes the price.

Updated Sep 29, 20261 min read

The art style is the look of every picture in the book. You choose it on the Pick An Art Style step, from four groups: Traditional Art, Comics & Cartoons, Digital & 3D, and Crafts & Tactile.

The Pick An Art Style step: four style groups at the top and a grid of styles such as Watercolor, Gouache, Soft Pastel and Colored Pencil Storybook.

The price does not change

Every art style costs the same. Every illustrated page costs 1 coin, in every art style. There is no cheaper or more expensive tier to choose between, so pick the one you like best.

Choosing well

  • Soft, painted styles such as Watercolor and Soft Pastel suit bedtime books.
  • Bold, bright styles suit funny books and adventures.
  • Younger children usually like clear shapes and strong colours.
  • Use the same style for a whole series, so the chapters look like one book.
