Making a story
Four ways to start a story
People, Creatures, Real Memory and Your Own Story: what each one is for, and what it asks you for.

The first choice in the wizard is how the story starts. It changes the questions that follow, so pick the one that matches what you have in mind.

People
A child is the hero. Pets and animals can be in the story too. This is the everyday choice, and the one to use for “a story starring my daughter”.
Creatures
An animal, a plant or a machine is the hero. You then choose how it should look: realistic, a storybook animal, or a creature with a person’s face and body. People can appear in the story, but the creature solves the problem.
Real Memory
Turn a real family moment into a keepsake book. Add photos of the day, add a caption for each, and Lolo writes the story around what happened. Lolo can also read the photos for you — that costs 2 coins, once, however many photos you added. Or write the captions yourself, and it is free.
Your Own Story
You have the idea already. There are two ways to bring it, and they make different books:

- I have the words — paste your text, or load a .txt file. Your words are illustrated exactly as you wrote them. A Check Your Pages step lets you move a page break if it lands in the wrong place.
- A drawing on paper — photograph a page your child drew or wrote on. Choose Read the drawing and Lolo turns it into a story idea, which you can then edit. Reading the drawing is free.
