Fixing a problem
Narration will not play
A book with no audio is normal. Here is what to check when you ordered it and hear nothing.

Narration is made when you order it. A finished book with no audio has simply not had narration ordered — that is normal, not a fault.
Work through it
Start at the top — the checks are ordered by what is most often the cause.
You never ordered narration
Narration is ordered, not automatic. A book with no audio shows Listen to story with a price. Choose it and confirm to make the audio.
The sound is off on your device
Check the device volume, the silent switch on a phone, and the browser tab. If the book has narration but it is silent, try another browser.
You edited a page after ordering
Editing a page clears that page’s narration, so it has to be made again. Reorder narration for the book.
You see “Retry audio”
The narration failed part-way. Press Retry audio. Whoever paid is refunded for a failed run, so you are not charged twice.
A child profile says it needs more coins
In a child’s profile, narration is paid from the child’s own coins. Give them more, or approve their request, and try again.
